Dr Ntebo Ngcobo currently serves as the Head of the Department for Civil Engineering Technology at the University of Johannesburg (UJ), where she manages a team of academic and support staff. Dr Ngcobo is also responsible for ensuring that the department is adequately resourced to ensure the successful delivery of academic programs. She is a Civil Engineering technologist with a PhD in Civil Engineering, a master’s degree in business administration and a Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Civil Engineering.
Her research interests include transportation engineering, civil engineering infrastructure maintenance, and modern methods of construction, the most notable being her involvement in a team that pilots the 3D housing project at UJ.
Dr Ngcobo currently serves as the board member for Agrément South Africa, an organisation that facilitates the introduction of non-standardised construction-related products or systems into the marketplace, thereby providing assurance to specifiers and users of the fitness-for-purpose of these products and systems.
