Dr Alireza Moghayedi is a sustainability-focused researcher and educator with over 15 years of experience in the built environment industry. He is a senior lecturer in the School of Architecture and Environment at the University of West of England, Bristol, a senior research fellow at Centre of Sustainable Materials & Construction Technologies at University of Johannesburg, a founder and co-director of the Sustainability Oriented Cyber Research Unit in Built Environment (S+CUBE) at the University of Cape Town. Dr Moghayedi’s research focuses on developing inclusive, sustainable and smart solutions for engineering and built environment infrastructure projects using innovative cyber technologies. He serves as the Principal Investigator for 14 international research projects and actively participates in over 20 academic and industry projects, collectively valued at over £3 million. His work has been published in leading academic journals and conferences, and he has received numerous awards for his research and teaching. Dr Moghayedi is a chartered project manager and has held various positions in a government agency, engineering consultancy, contracting, and developing firms across the globe.
